TONY Mowbray insists he has no interest in what former players have to say about the way he is managing the club. The Celtic manager has made wholesale changes to the Parkhead squad since taking over from Gordon Strachan in the summer. ldwell, Scott McDonald and Barry Robson, were allowed to leave, while club captain Stephen McManus went out on loan. Earlier in the week McDonald was reported as saying that he was puzzled at some of the decisions Mowbray had made during the short time they had worked

There were a lot of positives to be taken from the first game at Parkhead when we lost 5-2, but we never defended well enough and good players punished us   -Derek McInnes

Tony Mowbray today revealed he has all but given up hope of being able to keep Robbie Keane at Celtic beyond this season. The Irish striker's loan spell is up at the end of May and Mowbray is realistic about the prospect of the club being able to hang on to him. Spurs boss Harry Redknapp has maintained that Keane will be back at Tottenham for the start of the new season and, while the player may still struggle for a regular game at White Hart Lane, Celtic cannot afford a permanent move for him.

I think Robbie has enjoyed his football here and I hope the Celtic fans have enjoyed watching what he brings   -Tony Mowbray

If anyone thinks the downward trend in Scottish football is about to bottom out in the summer, think again. At the end of this season, I predict more doom and gloom for our SPL clubs and a further relocation of what little talent we have left up here to the south. The two main stars and targets for English clubs will undoubtedly be Aiden McGeady and Kris Boyd. If I were in their shoes, it would be a quick hop, skip and a jump over Hadrian's Wall to England if the opportunity arises.

IT'S that time of the year again when Celtic supporters can cast their votes for Player of the Year and Carling Goal of the Season, as well as a number of other awards. Last year it was Scott Brown who scooped the award, voted for by the fans, and the Celtic captain is in the running again. Aiden McGeady is another player who is sure to gather plenty of votes, as will fellow Irishman Robbie Keane who has been in tremendous form since joining the club on loan in January.
